In 2020, ACHD began developing new plans for traffic calming on Harrison Boulevard. While NENA is busy with other issues, some Harrison neighbors have been leaning into important conversations with ACHD. Stay tuned for more on the state of these plans.
Harrison Boulevard neighbors are also locally famous for their Halloween hospitality. In 2020 they pushed back on the pandemic by keeping their great tradition going with a properly distanced – and properly spooky – walking tour.
Concerns for Community Health and Safety Lead to Fun New Traditions
Halloween on Harrison Boulevard in the historic North End neighborhood is one of Boise’s most beloved fall traditions. A typical year sees thousands of little ghouls and goblins knocking on doors and collecting candy, as kids and families from across the Treasure Valley join in the spooky fun.
Thanks to the creativity of a few North End neighbors, those who do not feel safe trick-or-treating or handing out candy in the midst of a pandemic will have a fun new event and fundraiser to look forward to October 23rd through 30th: the First Annual North End Halloween Tour!
